Each year in the U.S. there are an estimated 15,780 children between the ages of birth and 19 years of age who are diagnosed with cancer. This means, approximately 1 in 285 children in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer before their 20th birthday. For many children, this means many days spent in and out of hospitals, and their childhood being cut short or not fulfilled. Many families, as well, experience hardship both financially and emotionally.

Finance

40% of families experience financial hardship when dealing with childhood cancer and other chronic diseases

Giving the Dollar serves as a resource for families, to help alleviate the financial burden of hospital bills, equipment, procedures, medications and more.

Future

Every day, 43 children are diagnosed with cancer and, unfortunately, 12% do not survive.

Children are our future. It is our duty to give them the opportunity to make a difference in this world, the way we make a difference in them.

Helping Hand

Dealing with cancer puts children in a state of anxiousness also making them feel sad, stressed and scared.

We help children carry on through life as if they are just going through another bump in the road. Nothing should stop them from living their best life.

Support

Often times children dealing with cancer become distant with friends and family, causing them to feel lonely and sad

We latch on as part of their support system, to let them know they are not alone. We are their friends, their families, their companions, and someone to turn to.
