Each year in the U.S. there are an estimated 15,780 children between the ages of birth and 19 years of age who are diagnosed with cancer. This means, approximately 1 in 285 children in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer before their 20th birthday. For many children, this means many days spent in and out of hospitals, and their childhood being cut short or not fulfilled. Many families, as well, experience hardship both financially and emotionally.

Giving the Dollar serves as a resource for families, to help alleviate the financial burden of hospital bills, equipment, procedures, medications and more.

We latch on as part of their support system, to let them know they are not alone. We are their friends, their families, their companions, and someone to turn to.

We help children carry on through life as if they are just going through another bump in the road. Nothing should stop them from living their best life.

Children are our future. It is our duty to give them the opportunity to make a difference in this world, the way we make a difference in them.

The team at Giving the Dollar works alongside other organizations, hospitals, and the surrounding community to help identify families and children in need. Our team then works directly with them in order to learn and understand what it is they need so that we can make a direct impact on their lives.
